Why Was My Account Not Approved for a Campaign?

Creators are sometimes not approved for campaigns, even if they’ve signed up correctly. Below are the most common reasons this can happen. Our goal is always to make sure campaigns are a good fit for both creators and brands.

Why wasn’t my account approved?

Campaign approvals are based on account quality, visibility, and authenticity. If an account doesn’t meet certain criteria, it may be declined.

Can a private account be approved?

No. If your account is set to private, we can’t review your content properly. Campaigns require public profiles so brands can see your posts and engagement.

What to do:
Switch your account to public and reapply if possible.

Does changing my username affect approval?

Yes. If you change your username after signing up, it can cause issues with verification and tracking.

What to do:
Avoid changing your username while you’re applying for or participating in campaigns.

Why are faceless or fake-looking accounts declined?

Accounts that appear faceless, inactive, or fake are usually declined. Brands want to work with real, identifiable creators.

Examples include:

  • No clear person behind the account

  • Stock images or reused content

  • Very limited or inconsistent activity

What to do:
Make sure your profile clearly represents you and your content.

Does content quality matter?

Yes, very much. Accounts may be declined if they appear low-effort or incomplete.

This includes:

  • Empty or barely filled-out profiles

  • Very few posts

  • Poor image or video quality

  • Content that lacks originality or creativity

What to do:
Post clear, original content and fully complete your profile before applying.

Are there other reasons an account might be declined?

Yes. Any obvious red flags can affect eligibility, such as:

  • Suspicious activity

  • Content that doesn’t align with brand or platform guidelines

  • Inconsistent or misleading account information and more

Summary

Creators may not be approved for campaigns if:

  • Their account is private

  • They changed their username after signing up

  • The account looks faceless, fake, or inactive

  • The profile lacks creativity or quality

  • There are other red flags affecting eligibility

  • Their GEO Location is off

If you’ve been declined, it doesn’t always mean you can’t be approved in the future. Improving your profile, content, and account settings can increase your chances next time.
